British playwright Sam Steiner's play "Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons" is the story of two young Londoners who meet and break up during the Orwellian apocalypse, when people are forbidden to utter more than 140 words a day. They have to fight several battles at once - for their relationship, for understanding, for trust and for freedom of expression.

The play premiered at Warwick Arts Centre in 2015 and won three jury prizes at the National Student Drama Festival. The play has subsequently been performed at Latitude Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Camden People's Theatre in London. In 2023, the play was staged again in the West End at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Director Jurģis Lūsis says of the forthcoming production: "Although there is no such law in today's information-packed world, we still want our message to be truly heard. However, speaking the same language does not mean understanding each other. This play is about how the truth we sometimes want so much to access may be deeper than the words we say."
