Venue details:
Ģertrūdes iela 101a“Virginia” is a choreography of memories shaped by a deeply personal question: how do you remember someone you have never met?
The performance emerges from the intersection of family archive materials, echoes of family storytelling, and the desire to uncover a family secret connected to the performer’s late grandmother. These unknown, “gray” zones become a fertile ground for artistic creation, where objects, sound, and light enter into an equal dialogue with physical presence.
In this work, movement functions as a tool for exploration, remembrance, and reconstruction—even of experiences that were never personally lived.
