Residency at Gertrudes ielas teatris offers support to young contemporary performing arts professionals of Baltic (except Latvia) and Nordic countries in the field of theatre and dance. The residency program is developed to encourage the creative process and allow young artists to undertake focused experimentation and research along with becoming acquainted with the Latvian performing arts scene.
In the summer of 2020, artists Barbara Lehtna (Estonia) and Iivi Meltaus (Norway) were in the residences of Theatre Ģertrūdes ielas teātris. Residency was supported financially by the Norden Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture.
In the spring of 2021, choreographer Jana Jacuka worked at the Theatre Ģertrūdes ielas teātris residency.
In the january of 2022 dance company "Nuepiko" (Arūnas Mozūraitis, Adrian Carlo Bibiano) worked at the Theatre Ģertrūdes ielas teātris residency.
